The KBW Foundation's Board of Directors is comprised of a team of glass business owners who donate their time and resources to further the art glass industry. There are no paid positions.Kay Bain Weiner
Kay Bain Weiner is the recipient of the Art Glass Industry 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award by the Glass Art industry. She is the founder of the Kay Bain Weiner Glass Art Educational Foundation. Kay is also the innovator and developer of various techniques, tools, and color agents used throughout the glass industry.Kay is the author of 13 books on glass art and design and has also written and produced several related audio tapes, cds and videotapes. She is a writer for various glass magazines. She has been a regularly featured lecturer and seminar instructor at all major national trade shows in the glass industry.
Denny Berkery
Denny Berkery has been involved in the art glass business for the last 30 years. He is director of the KBW Foundation and owner of The Vinery Stained Glass Studio in Madison, Wisconsin.Berkery has written articles for various publications including Glass Patterns Quarterly, Profitable Glass and Stained Glass New and is also a publisher of series of pattern books for stained glass. In 2009 Berkery was awarded Retailer of the Year Award by the Art Glass Association.

Bill Bird
Bill Bird, born in Nashport, Ohio, has been involved with art glass for the last 25 years and a member of the Art Glass Association for 18 years. He has a home-based studio, which offers complete design and fabrication. For the past 4 years, Bill has been involved with the management of the AGA.Bill says, "your support of the AGA and the KBW Foundation is a positive step forward for our industry."
Anita L. Black
Anita L. Black is the owner of The Glass Cottage, Ltd. in Arlington, Washington. Her art career began as a graphic designer in the printing industry, and then she found her creative passion - art glass. Her journey with stained glass began as a hobbyist in 1986 and has been a professional glass artist since 1997. Anita enjoys sharing her creative passion with her students and clients.Patty Cerajewski
Patty Cerajewski was born and raised in Chicago, and moved to Las Vegas in 2001. After almost twenty years of nursing, she decided to make a career change. She chose business management and after many years moved to Las Vegas continued her career with at the Aladdin Hotel (now known as Planet Hollywood) in the sales and catering department.She worked mainly with corporate businesses associated with city wide conventions. In 2004 Las Vegas Management offered her the position of show coordinator for the Annual Glass Craft & Bead Expowith her first show in March of 2005. Now as show manager and each year she strives to introduce new and exciting tools, technology and education to enhance the already sparkling glass art community.
Lori Mitchell
Lori Mitchell was born in Los Angeles and has been president of Glastar Corporation for over 6 years. She has worked in glass for over 35 years, creating and restoring stained glass art. Lori has written many articles published in U.S. Glass Engravers Journal, Graphics Pro, Glass Craftsman, and online at artglassinfo.com.She has achieved a Masters of Arts Degree in psychology and the importance of education was stressed by her parents Jerry and Diane Howard. Lori Travels extensively visiting glass retailers, attending trade shows and teaching.
Ann Sanborn
Ann Sanborn established the A Sanborn Corporation in 2000 to "Promote the Future of Custom Art Glass" tm by educating glass artists in traditional and Internet marketing, providing supporting services including glass art education.With over 25 years of technology experience, over 10 years concentrated on integrating Internet technolgies into everyday business, and eight years of custom art glass experience, Ann Sanborn brings a blend of experiences to complement the custom glass trade and artists.
Ann's articles can be found in Glass Art Magzine, Fired Arts and Crafts and other glass publications. She can be seen at most major glass art shows and in the classes she teaches.
Dr. Debra Weiner
Debra Weiner MD, PhD, of Boston, Massachusetts is a pediatric emergency physician, disaster medicine physician, physician scientist at Children’s Hospital Boston and is an assistant professor at Harvard-Medical School.“As the daughter of Kay Bain Weiner I have been fortunate to have glass art as part of my life. I am delighted to have the opportunity to serve as a chartermember of the KBW Foundation dedicated to inspiring and training future glass artists committed to becoming teachers and leaders in the glass-art industry.”
Herbert E. Weiner
Herbert E. Weiner of Carlsbad, California, was born with a glasscutter in hand. His family owned and operated a glass company for sixty years. He is an asset to the foundation board because of his business, finance, and management-consulting experience.Herb recently served as vice chairman on the board of Scripps Hospital in Encinitas, California. "I am passionately committed to the welfare and growth of the glass industry and with your support of the foundation, we can make it happen."

Jacqui Bush
has been involved in glass art since 1997. After retiring from a technical career in 2004, she decided to open Stained Glass of McKinney. It has been her passion to increase public awareness of glass art through special events, educational classes, and community involvement. She offers free classes to art teachers in public education through the "Teach the Teacher" program.Jacqui is very excited and proud to be a part of an organization that mirrors her own interest in education in the glass art industry.
Maureen James
began her publishing career at Standard Gravure, a subsidiary of the Courier-Journal. During her eight years there, she helped produce many independent Sunday magazine supplements, provided customer service, and learned to handle with weekly deadlines. In 1985, Maureen carried these skills to her job as Editor in Chief when she and husband Steven launched Glass Patterns Quarterly, an international glass art how-to magazine that began with the stained glass patterns of one designer and has since grown to 116-plus pages covering every type of glass medium at every level of expertise.Profitable Glass Quarterly joined the GPQ family in 1998 to provide glass art professionals with inspiration and insights for operating their businesses and has recently expanded its vision to help independent artists be more successful. A separate division of GPQ produces pattern books, brochures, and other pieces for various companies and artists. 2007 saw the beginning of a partnership between GPQ and The Flow magazine as Maureen began to serve as publisher for this well-known lampworking journal.
